I
have a Degree in Graphic Design, my professional Career
has followed technical development from traditional media and
markets to embracing the latest 3D virtual environment modelling
computer graphics.
Pottery in my spare time enables me to stretch my creative
skills, the very nature of the media, it’s immediacy and tactile
nature allowing a freedom of expression. There are times where
the clay appears to have it’s own say in determining it’s new
form.
Having
picked up the gauntlet of throwing again, I am finding it
thoroughly rewarding, in all sorts of ways. Throwing is
refreshing my ‘hands-on’ creative expression, virtual modelling
demands a very different set of virtual creative skills.
As a Member of Cone 8 Potters, based in Charlestown, Fife,
Scotland, I have started to exhibit and sell my pottery locally.
